Crystals, runes, tarot cards etc etc… it’s a lot to take in and it is VERY confusing!
We should definately try to listen to mother nature and admire the natural world. So how do the crystals, stones, runes, tarot, etc work? How do you learn how to use these tools? Are there set procedures or do you do what comes instinctively? Do you meditate? I have heard of pagans ‘praying’, to whom do you pray? Is a prayer the same as a spell?
I apologise if I come across as being ignorant, but this is all very new to me and I am genuinely interested in Pagan beliefs and Majick (is it Majick or Magic? What’s the difference? What’s the origin?).
I have been to www.witchvox.com and some others but I am still confused. Can anyone help me understand some of these simple Pagan beliefs?
Please, I don’t want Christians doing the whole witch-bashing thing here. Leave your Bible’s at the door or walk away. I do not want a quote from the Bible. I want to hear from Pagans only please!
Is there a genuine reason why I picture a pentogram in my head and seem to be drawn to that symbol?

My friend made me some rune stones (kinda like tarot cards), but now that I’m using them, the gold paint is chipping off at an alarming rate. Is there anything that I could put on it, like Polyurthane (no idea how to spell that.)?
Does anyone know?

i was told by a cristian that in practicing tarot i was inviting evil spirits into my home , i have always only ever counted them as fun my mother practiced tarot for many many years , but just lately i have been exsperiencing some strange things happening in my home and usually at the time i was practising as im trying to refine my abilty , which started the debate

I recently took an interest in Tarot cards and Runes. I have read a few books and read a ton online. However, I have a new deck and not one place mentioned how to go about shuffling for the first time? If I shuffle the way I normally do, all cards will remain face up. I read a things and it seems that the way they are shuffled is all personal preference, but it seems that every reading after the first all stems from the very first shuffle. It may seem im looking too mush into this but I have a genuine interest…. not just some random little hobby. So this is serious to me.
Also, as to how to flip the cards when doing a reading on yourself, I turn things over by flipping from bottom to top, not from side to side. I see though how this would affect my reading. They may be reversed when I lay them but when I flip them the way I do, they would end up the right way. Before, it was my understanding that what I get from the card should come from my own natural way of doing things, so the way I tend to flip cards is correct for me. But I need to know if this is an issue and if I should stick to my own way or change to flipping from side to side.
